After a sailing trip from Cape Town to Belgium, she and her husband Jan returned overland from Cairo to Cape Town with folding bicycles. This fantastic experience gave Jo all the material she needed to write a book, ‘A Hitch-biker’s Guide Through Africa’.
Her interest in writing hasn’t stopped there. While recently sailing their way across the Pacific Ocean, Jo found the time to supplement her income with freelance writing projects for various clients.
Writing has always been one of Jo's passions, from keeping diaries to being called upon by friends and relatives to help them write letters, resumes and job applications. More recently she has been editing websites and writing brochures for various clients, and through Upwork, she has been editing social media content, creating content and writing blogs.
Jo can offer you 30+ years of work experience in a variety of environments and she has been specifically writing since 2018. All of this experience gives Jo a great perspective on various different subjects. She understands the need for attention to detail for grammar, good word flow and the importance of meeting deadlines.
Her writing skills include editing, copywriting, proofreading, ghostwriting, writing original content and blog articles.
